Privacy Policy for TabiTabs

TabiTabs ("we", "our", or "us") is a browser extension designed to help users save, organize, and synchronize their open browser tabs across their own devices.

TabiTabs only collects and processes data necessary to provide its core functionality: cloud-based tab management and synchronization.

A. Account Information (Personally Identifiable Information)

When you create a TabiTabs account, we may collect:

• Email address
• Account identifier
• Authentication credentials (securely processed)

This information is required to authenticate your account and enable secure cross-device synchronization.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

B. Tab and Website Information

To provide tab management and sync features, TabiTabs processes:

• Open tab URLs
• Page titles
• Favicons (if available)
• Tab grouping data created by you

This data is stored locally and synchronized securely to your account if sync is enabled.

We do not analyze browsing behavior for advertising or profiling purposes.

C. Authentication Information

We use secure authentication tokens to maintain your login session and protect account access.

Passwords are never stored in plain text.

D. Payment Information

If you purchase a paid feature or subscription, payments are processed through a secure third-party payment processor.

TabiTabs does not store, collect, or have access to full credit card numbers or sensitive payment details after the transaction is processed.

We only receive confirmation necessary to activate your subscription or service access.

E. Product Analytics and Error Diagnostics

With your optional consent, we use PostHog and Google Analytics 4 to understand whether TabiTabs features work as intended and to diagnose application errors. These services do not load and no analytics data is sent until you choose to allow analytics. The data may include:

• Feature events, such as creating a workspace or changing a pack status
• Aggregate counts, such as the number of tabs affected by an action
• Sanitized application routes that omit internal record identifiers and non-attribution query parameters
• Campaign attribution tags, limited to standard UTM values
• Technical browser, device, and diagnostic information
• A random pseudonymous browser identifier created after consent

Our analytics configuration does not send your account name, email address, account ID, saved tab URLs, page titles, notes, or task content, and it does not link analytics activity to your signed-in TabiTabs account. Session recording, person profiles, advertising signals, and automatic interaction capture are disabled.

Campaign parameters are limited to standard attribution tags. Campaign links must not put personal information in UTM parameters or other URL values.

Like any web request, an analytics provider may receive network information such as an IP address while processing the request. TabiTabs disables PostHog GeoIP enrichment and does not intentionally send or store precise location data through these integrations.

These providers process data under their respective privacy policies: PostHog and Google.

You can decline analytics or withdraw a prior choice at any time below. Withdrawing consent blocks future analytics collection and removes analytics cookies accessible to TabiTabs in this browser.

TabiTabs does NOT collect:

• Browsing history outside of tabs you explicitly manage
• Keystrokes or typing data
• Personal communications
• Financial account numbers
• Health data
• Precise location data
• Unrelated behavioral tracking

We use collected data strictly to:

• Provide tab saving and organization features
• Synchronize tabs between your devices
• Authenticate your account
• Maintain service security and integrity
• Process subscriptions and enable paid features
• Measure feature adoption and improve product reliability
• Diagnose application errors

We do not use your data for advertising, selling to third parties, credit scoring, or unrelated profiling.

All data transmission occurs over HTTPS encryption.

Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are implemented to protect user data.

We do not sell or trade user data.

Data may only be shared with infrastructure providers necessary to operate the service or when legally required.

This includes PostHog and Google as analytics and diagnostic service providers when their integrations are enabled and you have allowed analytics.

We retain your account and synchronized tab data as long as your account remains active.

Analytics and diagnostic data is retained according to our configured retention periods with the applicable analytics provider.

Users may request account deletion at any time.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your personal data.
